Robert Garner 从理想与非理想理论双重框架出发,论证动物应被视为正义的接受者而非仅仅是道德关怀的对象。中译本《动物正义论》由王珀翻译(上海人民出版社,2025)。 Robert Garner argues that animals should be recognized as recipients of justice using both ideal and non-ideal theory frameworks. Chinese translation 《动物正义论》 by Wang Po (Shanghai People's Press, 2025).

A Theory of Justice for Animals (Oxford UP, 2013) is Garner’s major work applying political philosophy to animal rights. He employs both ideal theory (what justice demands in principle) and non-ideal theory (what is achievable given current political realities) to argue that animals are proper subjects of justice. The book critiques purely moral approaches and insists that the political dimension of animal protection has been neglected. This is the English original of the Chinese translation 《动物正义论》(王珀译, 上海人民出版社, 2025).
