VINE (Veganism Is the Next Evolution) Sanctuary is an LGBTQ-run farmed-animal sanctuary in Vermont, co-founded by queer ecofeminist pattrice jones. Originally established as Eastern Shore Sanctuary in 2000, VINE was the first sanctuary to develop methods for rehabilitating roosters used in cockfighting. The sanctuary hosts “In Context with pattrice jones,” exploring intersections of animal, social, and environmental injustice.
